About Richard

I provide individual and family therapy and use a variety of treatment methods, including Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy,Hypnotherapy, Client-Centered Therapy, Interpersonal Psychotherapy, and Ego State and other dynamic approaches.I enjoy working with someone who has struggled in relationships or with reaching educational or career goals and has been feeling saddened or frustrated with their limited success. While forming a working relationship, I focus on helping the person to develop realistic goals. I balance my work between teaching new coping skills and helping the person address and resolve conflicts with others as well as within his or her self that have interfered in the past. Then, we focus on gaining motivation toward using the newly learned skills and making significant changes in his or her life.
