About Marcus
I came to hypnotherapy after a decade in clinical psychology, frustrated by how rarely talk-only approaches reached the deeper, body-level patterns that keep people stuck. Something was missing between what the research showed was possible and what traditional therapy could deliver in a 50-minute hour.
Hypnotherapy filled that gap. It gave me a way to work with the nervous system directly, helping clients access the subconscious patterns driving their anxiety, insomnia, and stress responses. The changes I saw were faster and more lasting than anything I had seen in conventional practice.
My practice is small on purpose. I take fewer clients so each one gets the attention this work deserves. Every session is built around your specific goals, tracked against real progress markers, and adjusted as we go. No cookie-cutter scripts, no one-size-fits-all programs.
When I am not in session, I teach clinical hypnotherapy techniques to other practitioners and consult with wellness centers on integrating evidence-based hypnotherapy into their offerings. I believe this work should be accessible to everyone, not just people who happen to find the right therapist.
Approach
My approach blends clinical hypnotherapy with cognitive behavioral techniques and mindfulness-based interventions. Every client starts with a thorough intake where we identify specific goals and baseline measures. From there, I build a customized program that typically runs 4 to 8 sessions. I use a combination of Ericksonian techniques, parts therapy, and direct suggestion work, tailored to how each client responds. Between sessions, you will have recordings and exercises to reinforce the work. I track progress against the goals we set in session one and adjust the approach based on what is actually working.
