You are not your diagnosis, you are not your loss, you are not your thoughts, your feelings, or your actions. You are that which is behind your eyes, a wonderful mystery that is having this experience. This experience, or what we sometimes call life, can be hard, and in difficult times it's helpful to have a path or direction.
