About Farida
I have over 30 years working in the field of psychology. I believe that the key to most emotional and psychological problems lies in relationships, those in the past and in the present. I believe conscious and unconscious behavior patterns can cause difficulties in life, and these behavior problems can be changed or modified. My approach is eclectic , and I use various modalities within a psychodynamic framework. I am also trained as a trauma specialist and EMDR therapist. I believe trauma can keep people stuck in behaviors and emotional dysfunction and EMDR is a highly effective way of reprocessing "stuck" trauma.
