About Bob

My core training is in psychoanalytic psychotherapy with additional training and experience in a wide range of modalities including trauma (EMDR, Somatic Experiencing),hypnotherapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and Internal Family Systems.I believe we all have healing to do and my therapeutic approach seeks to normalize the process of turning pain into purpose. I remain optimistic that the hard work of finding truth and reconciliation in one’s own life is the most meaningful thing we can devote ourselves to.

I am focused on finding answers to the question of what is most therapeutic for my patients. How can they understand themselves better, feel a greater sense of efficacy in the world, and build a stronger sense of self? And, when that sense of self has become obscured, how can it be clarified and reclaimed? These are the central questions grounding my work.
