As a Hypnotherapist, I feel the client has the "answer" within, and thus is empowered by the process. The mind /body connection is explained and then experienced as they are guided into a relaxed yet focused state ("trance" or alpha state) and thus able to tap the power of the subconscious mind. Hypnosis reprograms the mind like a computer so that the client can more powerfully direct their conscious attitudes and behaviors to ultimately manifest their goals. The client then must be open and willing to continue with the attitudinal and behavioral changes in their daily lives.
